How we Support Children with Hair Loss
Allie has been volunteering for 17 years with this amazing program and was so excited to introduce it to Enrapture Salon.
Founded in 2000 by Regina Villemure, this nonprofit organization believes in “covering young heads to heal young hearts.” Based in South Rockport, MI, this company provides beautiful human hair wigs to any child up to age 21 who has hair loss for any reason. There is no charge to the recipient. Volunteers, like us work closely and personally with children to ensure the wigs look natural and feel comfortable. Wigs are replaced every year if the need is still there.
A leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. We are improving the lives of people with cancer and their families as the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
We are now an Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome friendly salon. Ehlers-Danlos is a genetic disorder manifesting as joint instability and many other physical issues. Typically there are cervical and neck issues so it can be painful to have hair services done because head tuning and neck bending is painful. We will be sensitive to these issues and work closely with these clients to ensure less painful visits than experienced elsewhere.
